We would like to take this opportunity of introducing ourselves to you. We are Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services Consulting Engineers. Our company was formed around two highly Experienced Engineers (Partners) in their respective disciplines of building services. SKP has a team of qualified Engineers, CAD Operators and other technical staff with many years of experience, having completed various landmark projects in both the public and private sectors. Method Statement & Design Philosophy
The Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services would be designed in accordance with the Project Brief, which would be developed in the early stages of design, by means of reports, questionnaires and close liaison with the Client, Architect and other members of the project team. American Standard sand Codes of practice, British Standards and Codes of Practice, European and other Internationally recognized Standards, together with the requirements of the CIBSE and IEE Wiring Regulations would be adopted for the design works, as appropriate. Local Standards and regulations would also be incorporated, and particular consideration would be given to Security, Fire Detection and Safety.
Details of Work Stages
STAGE 1 Receive an initial statement of requirements and provide an outline of possible courses of action. Establish contact with other members of the design team and agree formal communication procedures. 1.2 Develop a project brief by means of reports, questionnaires and close liaison with the Client, Architect and other members of the project team. The reports will include the different alternative methods of the air conditioning system together with advantages, disadvantages and approximate budget cost of each method.
Engineering Services
The scope of works undertaken includes the pre-design, conceptual and feasibility study stages, together with project planning, detailed design, cost control, site supervision and post-contract elements, through to commissioning and final completion. Environmental control, energy usage and reclaim, fire and safety systems are also investigated and applied where appropriate. At least one of the partners is actively involved in the design and administration of every project, thereby adding and using their weight of experience.
